According to the government of India and NDRF Chief SN Pradhan, the country have deployed a total of 41 teams from the National Disaster Response Force in West Bengal and Odisha to deal with the forthcoming cyclone Amphan from the Bay of Bengal. Super Cyclone Amhpan is considered to be an extremely severe cyclonic storm that is expected to hit the coasts in Digha, West Bengal and Hatia Island in Bangladesh by tomorrow afternoon, on May 20. The state government of Assam has also issued a high alert over the approaching cyclone, as recommended by the state disaster management authority.
