India saw a record one day spike in Coronavirus cases reported in the country as 5242 tests positive and 157 people dying in the last 24 hours. The total number of positive cases in the country reaches 96169 with 56316 active cases, death toll rising to 3029 and recording 36824 recoveries as announced by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India on May 18.
